About the Snowflake-Taylor Police Department

The Snowflake-Taylor Police Department is proudly located at 602 S. Main Street in Snowflake, Arizona, and serves the twin communities of Snowflake and Taylor. Our department is dedicated to providing professional, responsive, and community-focused law enforcement services to our growing population.

We are a team of 22 committed employees, including:

6 civilian staff: Administrative Assistant, Records Clerk, Records Specialist, Office Manager/Evidence Technician, one full-time Animal Control Officer, and one part-time Animal Control Officer
16 full-time Sworn Officer Positions:
- Chief of Police
- Lieutenant
- Two Patrol Sergeants
- Detective Sergeant
- Three Detective Positions
- Nine Patrol Officers

We currently have three open patrol positions as of July 1st, 2025.

Our department is focused on evolving alongside the needs of our community—enhancing safety, deepening community trust, and embracing growth with forward-thinking policing.

Our Background

Serving Snowflake and Taylor Since 1986

Since 1986, the Snowflake-Taylor Police Department has proudly provided law enforcement services to the communities of Snowflake and Taylor. Covering a combined area of over 70 square miles and serving nearly 12,000 residents, our department continues to grow and evolve alongside the expanding needs of our community.

In 2019, we strengthened regional collaboration by partnering with the Show Low and Pinetop-Lakeside Police Departments to establish a regional dispatch center based in Show Low. This strategic alliance allows all participating agencies to share real-time information, enhancing communication, response times, and overall officer awareness. It’s a partnership that not only increases efficiency but strengthens public safety across the region.
