The Station
The Snowflake-Taylor Police Department is located at 602 S. Main Street in Snowflake, Arizona. The department services the communities of Snowflake and Taylor, Arizona. Currently the department has 22 employees: 5 civilian employees serve as an administrative assistant; records clerk; office manager/evidence tech; 1 full time animal control officer and 1 part-time animal control officer; 13 full time certified police officers filling positions of the Chief of Police, Lieutenant, Two Patrol Sergeants, One Detective Sergeant, One Detective/D.A.R.E. Officer, 7 Patrol Officers and Two Reserve Officers. The police department current has 4 open positions for patrol to include a School Resource Officer. The Department’s focus is to progress with the needs of our growing communities.
Our Background
Since 1986, the Snowflake-Taylor Police Department has served both the communities of Snowflake and Taylor. Covering 70 square miles and providing police services to nearly 12,000 people, the police department is continuing to grow and develop as the community continues to expand.
In 2019, the police department partnered with the Show Low Police Department as well as the Pinetop-Lakeside Police Department and created a regional dispatch center located in Show Low. This collaboration provides unique opportunities and increased awareness to our officers as all agencies are able to share information more quickly and efficiently.
